MFUKO WA MAMA ANNA MKAPA KUWAFUNDA WAJASRIAMALI

JUMLA ya wajasiriamali wapatao 250 kutoka mikoa yote ya Tanzania Bara na Visiwani watapatiwa mafunzo ya  elimu ya ujasiriamali, uzalishaji bora  wa bidhaa na uundaji wa vikundi vya uzalishaji ili kukidhi oda kulingana na mahitaji ya soko la ndani na nje ya nchi.

Mafunzo hayo ya muda wa siku tatu kuanzia Juni 25, mwaka huu yatafunguliwa na Waziri wa Viwanda, Biashara na Masoko, Dk. Abdallah Kigoda saa tatu asubuhi  katika ukumbi wa Bwalo la Maafisa wa Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa (JKT) Mgulani jijini Dares Salaam ambapo yatasaidia kukabiliana na changamoto juu  ya masuala hayo.

Hayo yalisemwa na  Mkurugenzi  Mtendaji wa Mfuko wa Fursa Sawa Kwa wote(EOTF),  Stephen Emmanuel  kutipia taarifa yake aliyoitoa leo kwa vyombo vya habari, ambapo alisema mafunzo hayo  yanafadhiliwa na mfuko huo unaosimamiwa na  Mke wa Rais  wa Awamu ya  Tatu ,Mama Anna Mkapa.

“ Elimu  inayotolewa  inawezesha wanawake wajasiriamali ambao ndio wazalishaji wakuu wa bidhaa za kilimo,ufugaji, sanaa za mikono n.k. kufanya biashara endelevu  na kujikomboa kiuchumi, kuondoa ujinga na maradhi katika jamii yetu ya Tanzania  - KUPIGA VITA UMASIKINI,” alisema Emmanuel.

Alisema katika mafunzo hayo kutakuwepo na mada za fursa na changamoto za wanawake hao katika biashara, huduma kwa mteja, umuhimu wa viwango vya bidhaa(TBS), Bar Code, stadi za masoko, fursa za  mitaji kutoka taasisi za fedha.
Mada nyingine ni, ubadilishaji ujuzi, haki za wanawake, rasimu ya katiba mpya na kuhamasisha mapambano ya maradhi  hatarishi ya saratani ya matiti na uzazi, malaria na ukimwi  yanayomaliza nguvu kazi ya taifa.

Aliongeza kuwa  mada hizo zitatanguliwa na mchango wa msanii maarufu Judith Wambura “Lady  Jay De” kuwahamasisha  wanawake kutumia vipaji vyao kujikomboa katika wimbi la umasikini na kujitegemea. Pia atakuwepo mkongwe wa mashairi  ajulikanaye kwa jina la Tambalizeni ambaye atatoa ngonjera juu ya  uwezeshaji wa wanawake hao kupitia mfuko huo.

Tangu mfuko huo uanzishwe mwaka 1997 umeshatoa mafunzo  hayo kwa wanawake hao 3,650, ambapo asilimia 85 wanatoka vijijini, pia wanapewa fursa ya kushiriki katika maonesho ya   sabasaba na nje ya nchi.

Aidha aliongeza kuwa mpaka sasa EOTF imewezesha wanawake hao  zaidi ya 2500 kushiriki kwenye maonesho  hayo na nje ya nchi . Hivyo mauzo na oda walizopata katika  maonesho  ya 36 ya sabasaba  ya mwaka 2012 , yalifikia  sh. milioni 55.9.

FedEx unveils strategic acquisition deal in Southern Africa

FedEx to acquire business operations of Supaswift (Pty) Ltd. and its subsidiaries in 7 countries

JOHANNESBURG, South-Africa, June 20, 2013/ -- FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) (http://www.fedex.com) announced today that it has completed the first stage of a strategic acquisition by signing agreements to acquire the businesses operated by its current service provider Supaswift (Pty) Ltd. in South Africa and four other countries, including Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zambia, and is also in discussions to acquire Supaswift’s businesses in Botswana and Namibia. These acquisitions will operate under the FedEx Express business unit and the transaction is subject to necessary regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Once the acquisition is completed, FedEx Express will have direct access across the seven markets to 39 facilities and will welcome approximately 1,000 of Supaswift’s team members, who will join the ranks of more than 300,000 FedEx team members globally. FedEx Express will then offer a complete suite of FedEx branded export, import and domestic solutions, connecting Southern Africa to more than 220 countries and territories worldwide, enhancing customers’ business flexibility and speed to market.

Leary, President of FedEx Express Europe, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa, added: “FedEx Express has been active in Africa since the early 1990’s, through a well-established network of Global Service Providers. This acquisition, once completed, will reaffirm our support to customers in this region.”

Africa is currently the world’s fastest growing continent. Over the next decade its GDP is expected to rise by an average of 6% a year. South Africa alone makes up 21% of Africa’s total GDP, and is home to most major businesses in this region.(1)

Supaswift started operations in South Africa in 1990. In 2005, Supaswift merged with MyExpress Pty Ltd., which had been offering FedEx Express international services in Southern Africa since 1991.

The integration of Supaswift’s businesses will commence once the transaction has been closed and is expected to be achieved gradually over a number of months.
